Any recommendations of a good hotel in Cardiff. Preferably with onsite parking and walking distance to either/both [don't know Cardiff at all so both may not be possible] of the city centre and the bay.

Thanks.

City centre and the bay are only about 10 mins walk apart, Laterooms will give you a stack of decent places in either area, or Holiday Inn, Novotel, Ibis and Mercure have hotels roughly halfway between the two.

St David's is nice but pricey. Right on the bay, but easy walk into centre.

Park Plaza on Greyfriars Road. Really well located, nise bar, decent breakfast. Only down side is the car park over the road.

Novatel, close to centre and Bay 10 for the first maybe 15-20 for the latter. Holiday Inn is in the centre but there is an express near the bay. Park by Thistle right in the centre but only a few on site spaces, multistory across the road. Not sure ho the Hilton fares with parking, bang in the centre. Ibis is not that much further than the Novatel, on street parking or across the road in the pay and display. Not stayed in the others.

Marriott is nice.

From what I have seen the whole of Cardiff is fully booked at the moment with the Ryder cup coming to town.
