The gear box has gone bang on my 3R so car needs a bit of work.

Just wondering what else you would all do when the engine is out?

Gear box type?
Hard pipe kit?
Intercooler?
Clutch?
Turbo refurb? Upgrade?
Fuel pump?
Wiring loom?
Remap?

Should I change the exhaust?

Anything else?

What do you think and who is best to speak to?

Might as well sort the car when it broken!

Clutch is a must while the box is out also the salve cylinder, if you want more power you should also up rate the clutch to a helix one, if your after an exhaust now would also be the time while its all apart same with the turbos to save on the labour, the rest can be done fairly easy at any point like the intercooler hard pipe kit etc but all worth doing before a remap.

The slave cylinder will cost about £200, it really has to be changed same time as clutch. If i remember correct you will have to order it from a Noble main dealer.

Last time i changed the clutch, the slave cylinder had a 3mm groove carved into it and was starting to get noisy. This was on approx 15k miles. I guess they must have put the old one back on with your car? Who did the job? Are you sure it was not changed, the clutch and cylinder combined would have come to about £600.

bear in mind the slave is different between the 5 and 6 speed... 5 speed is a std ford unit and costs £88... the 6 speed is a modified AP unit and costs £250.

I happen to know were a modified 6 speed clutch (paddle that takes 550bhp) and slave are for sale with sub 1k miles lol

in fact i'm selling a lot of bits like the upgraded intercooler dual exhaust etc going a completely different route meaning major changes you see smile
