F1 2010 Major Pitstop Bug

Just doing a bit of research before I buy. Looks like their is a pretty major problem :

Anyone have the game and come accross it yet ?

Looks like if you dont have internet access you are knackered as you will not be able to patch.

I have a 360 in a Cottage that has no internet. I was looking forward to playing on hols but I'm going to have to mess about bringing it home to patch then taking it back out next time ....

I wonder if CM have released the game like this on purpose to stop the pirates ?

I have played the game, and it is truly excellent if into this. The speed is magic, keeping your foot down while flying around the corners is great, you actually draw breath (as you touch the rumble strips). Also, the low speed twitches like you see on tv are there, and even though you have grip, you just don't realise how well the tracks are designed to catapult you into trouble if you are off the line. Cutting corners you get marked and the qualify lap is invalid (or you get a time penalty), however (like on tv) some corners you can just nip a bit, and you will need to get get the lap time, and keep the flow, its a gamble.

Shame I only got to play it for and hour or so..

Im getting this as soon as its out.

Also how will it stop the pirates? you can update from USB stick, and there is no way you can sell a game that is not fit for purpose..

Sounds like a big concern. I too dont have internet access for my 360 and dont really wanna fork out £40 only to suffer what sounds like a big glitch.

Be good to see any reviews on the day of release and hear if this is true and how accurate.

Stop prevaricating and get your but down game y2blade. You know you are just going to be:

a) Bored as hell when the FM3 Crowd are smashing up Monaco or

It is true,

My first pitstop came in to the pits in 10th place, left in 18th had to wait to let all the other cars pass.

Luckly you can change your pitstop times from the garage before the race, so you can set which tires on which lap. I tend to look at the "Recommended" and change it to a lap before or 2/3 laps after. One thing you will notice is that different teams use different stratagys for drivers depending on race position which is quite good.
