I think it's time to get the money out..

I had found an awesome MX5 close to me recently at a great price, had money in hand.. Then I did a hpi check, bad news!

So fastforward a few weeks and I have to leave for University, I guess you could say in living in Liverpool now.. And ever since I got here I've been trawling the classifieds looking for one.

I think I just found it, it's a low mileage Dakar that's close to my home address, for a great price. I'm flying home next week to do my bike test, so I'm taking that as a sign and I think I'll go for it..

Hopefully this one isn't a stinker, and hopefully it's not sold yet!

PLEASE don't be sold! It was too late to call and ask tonight..

That is all, I'm just quite excited about (potentially) finding the '5 I've been looking for!

Just a note of caution - are you happy that the car will be safe where you're living in Liverpool?

I lived in a student area in Manchester and all three of the cars parked at my house cars (including mine) were stolen or broken into at one point or another and they were tin tops. The only other person that I know who kept a car in the area also had it vandalised.

I certainly wouldn't have opted to take a soft top there and from what I saw the Liverpool student areas didn't seem much safer than the Manchester ones?

That's correct.

Unfortunately, I rang today and the cars sold.. I guess I'm back to square one!
