Sudden catastrophic brake failure

Bad but not as bad as it sounds.
Parked car in driveway last night, everything fine. Got in this morning and brake pedal hits the floor. No feel to it at all. No pressure if pumped.
I can't believe the master cylinder seals would give up overnight, and servo should make no difference, so assumption at the moment is a brake hose. Even that seems odd. Can't see it splitting and leaking out of it's own accord. More likely to go under pressure and you would feel that through the pedal.
Mighty confused at the moment, but glad it did not happen on a spirited journey. Won't be able to check anything until I get home from work.
Anyone had anything similar?

Rear caliper seals were blowing out fluid over rear wheel. Why it decided to do this last night is a mystery but cause is the scary bit.
Stripped the caliper and found wrong seals fitted. I changed these 2 years ago, blindly fitting them straight from the packet. Seems I had fitted 2 sets of outer seals instead of an inner and outer. I did not take the time to check that the ones I removed were the same as those delivered. Feeling like a right cock.
Still, on the bright side what could be better than playing in brake fluid for a day...excluding burning your eyes out with a hot poker

Sadly, I have done more of these than I care to think about. I am untrusting of some of the presumed experts and am never entirely happy unless I do it myself to my standards. In this case my standards were very low it seems. Must have had something on my mind, a bit like the fabled cars built on Fridays.
