Hello All

What is the closest upgrade to the original Ferrari stereo for a 575. Box standard aint bad but is there an upgrade ( a Ferrari one ???) that has a very Ferrari like design and not some of these awful systems i have seen ... I am very Ferrari only parts etc , so wonder if there is another factory option or if not a system that would fit perfectly , aesthetically in the car

Would be nice to have display sat nav but hate these portable -stick on the windscreen - thingies and really dont like the pop up screens etc

575 : Grigio Titanio, Balck leather , F1 paddles, fire extinguisher with leather straps.

Assuming it's a Becker HU in your car, this is probably the most suitable NAV solution for your requirements:

If it's just better sound you want then a new amp and speakers should transform things; suspect the current HU in your car has no external amp (but will be able to run one) and the speakers could probably be improved upon too.

Yeap its a Becker unit and looks fairly similar , only outdated the one in mine, i really like this unit as a pop out screen is not to my liking. is this becker HU supplied in new Ferrari cars ? meaning is there one with the Ferrari logo on ? Ok that sounds and is in fact excessive but i am wondering if it comes as Original Ferrari Equipment ... tongue out

It is currently fitted to the 599 and has the Ferrari logo on startup tbh though it's crap if you are used to a screen based Nav as it's turn signal and voice only and only does 5 digit postcode plus limited data. There is nowhere in the 575 to fit a remote screen type unit (believe me I tried!) I ended up fitting a Kenwood unit with slide out screen however you may not be able to get one these days that will adjust to the appropriate angle as the Din mount is virtually vertical

Thank for the useful info. ( btw still to post pic of the 575...) , i shall check out the ones with the ferrari logo as i would like to have this on the stereo for some silly reason called weirdness i suppose , though as you said its crap it will look better that current one that had seen better days ... slide out screens hard to find here and have seen a pic of one in a 575 ( might be the one you describing !!) covening some controls etc though... i will check out prices etc though i am more inclided to get from UK. The Ferrari dealer down here, well lets just say that a topic for a lot of discussion .... :-(

When I bought my 430 spider, which doesn't have Sat Nav, the dealer said they could retrofit it, so it might be worth giving your local dealer a call. As already said that unit someone else posted is currently on the 599 and was on the 430. I haven't a clue on price but I'm guessing it will cost more to get one with Ferrari written on it. As already said, for a real improvement in sound get new speakers and an amp. I've never done it to any car so haven't a clue on cost but I've seen pictures and you can get it to look standard pretty easily.

Hope that helps.

P.s Pictures of the 575 please biggrindriving

Trying to find who installs Tubis and/or Capristos in Greece actually !!!!! Down here is a comepletely different story to the UK ( where i was till 2008..) no specialists, no parts stockists , just a very rude and weird Ferrari dealer , nothing like MAranello Cars in Egham or specialists like Verdi etc . It is very weird actually , will post anotehr thread anotehr day on this subject .... Noa good place for Ferrari ownership
