After seeing the Top Gear, on Dave, where the boys bought a supercar for £10k, I have fallen in love with the Ferrari 308 GT4.

It seems that this car isn't highly regarded but purely in terms of looks, I think it is an absolute belter. Just look at the side profile! So unfussy compared to modern Ferraris. Does anyone on here have one of these? If so, thoughts and pics!

Please list any underated cars you think are beautiful.

I prefer my 308 to look like this:

This shape also gets my blood flowing.

While we're on Ferraris, I've always had a soft spot for these...although most people seem to think they're horrible. I can only guess they expect more drama from a Ferrari, but I like the discreet, simple proportions and detailing (and I bet the V12 sounds pretty good too!!). I'd take mine in metallic baby blue or brown please! Really!

absolutely love the 308 GT4. Love the sharp bertone lines. Reputed to be a better handling car than the other 308...
I was hoping no one else liked them so the prices stay sensible though.

Not sure that any supercar styling is under-rated but the Maserati Khamsin with it's Citroen internals was certainly overshadowed by the Bora and Merak and is better looking and sleeker than both and I think paved the way with that glass panel round the lights. Oh for such visibility in modern cars.

Also largely overshadowed by the Espada.

Aside from the obvious exotics i think the Peugeot 306 was a beautiful car in the right colour (bianca white, imo)..

Completely agree on the GT4 - preferably not in red.

Another suggestion would be the Lancia Flaminia GT.

On a similar note. I give you...

The Lancia Beta Monte Carlo:

Actually, any Lancia Beta. Saw a Fulvia HF in the flesh for the first time in ages recently and that reminded what gorgeous cars they are - not so underrated though.

And, the Alfa Romeo Montreal:

Again, the Alfetta springs to mind, but that's fairly widely acknowleged.

Z8 looks good. The e46 not so. Quite a dull looking car and seems to be crying out for a briefcase or laptop bag just to finish it off.

Is it really underrated? If anything, it's the opposite seeing how some motoring mags wax (or is it wk) lyrical over them.

lol, pretty much snap. You're dad didn't have Scimitars beforehand too per chance?
