Hi mate.. i have a 1982 280 and used a intermotor part.. does yours have a speed limiter.. You should ask for ford 2.8i as your'll get a blank look if you say TVR..

Hi Zigazaga is that not a Bosch rotor arm, the one on mine has a spring on the top, Intermotor say its a obsolete part.

i've use intermotor disy cap and rotor arm just on my service for the 400SE but had to take them both back and put my old ones back on as the car ran like crap ? (they were very good and i got a full refund, no problems)

i only mention it as you are have problems with the running of your car.

When I had Capri 2.8Is and XR4Is I always had problems with the rev limiter rotor arms, mostly with slightly rough running.

I would fit a fixed rotor arm every time, and just not over-rev it!
