I'm looking to get hold of Subaru Extra-S 75W90 gear oil for when I need to do an oil change on the manual box in my Outback. I understand that it only comes from Subaru in 20 litre drums but if it's the only way to get the stuff I'll buy a drum.

Although there seem to be a few sources in the USA and Canada (that can't/won't ship the stuff to Europe) I've drawn a total blank over here.

Thanks.

Considering they do Auto Trans Fluid in 4 litre tins, we only get them in the drums and it's all a bit silly frown. Dont see why a Subaru dealer wont put some in if you take some containers to them though smile

Yes, I had been hoping to do something like that but, although I haven't been exhaustive in my search, the dealers I have contacted so far don't seem to have heard of Extra-S so I wonder if they just use any GL5 they can get cheap.

Thanks guys - I have dropped Opie a note so if they can't supply the Subaru stuff I reckon something in their shop should fit the bill - Millers CRX75w90 seems to tick just about every box though for the money perhaps it should smile
