Fiesta MK.7 (2010) - clunking steering

Folks,
Mrs has a Mk7 Fiesta Titanium - only 3 months old and mileage is a shade under 4K.
When reversing or going forward, only at slow speeds, there is a clunking from the front which corresponds with sterring wheel movement. Once over 10mph the clunking goes away.
Before it gets booked into the local Ford garage is there any opinions or experiences on what this could be?
