Should i go for a 2009 Dicovery3 fully loaded HSE OR a TDV8 RR Vouge of similar value ? ?

Do you need 7 seats?

If YES - D3

If NO - RR

D3 is a great car, but the RR just has much more presence, and the TDV8 isn't available in the D3. If the RR is near to being out of warranty, just get the LR extended warranty or an independent warranty.

RR TDV8 would be my choice, have you considered going that little bit further and considering a Disco 4?

Disco 3 is a great car, even better if you want 7 seats. The third row is comfortable enough for adults too. Disco 4 looks fancier inside and out and has better engine (3.0 compared with 2.7 a bigger step up than you would think). With seats folded it's practically a van, great for putting bikes in the back etc. Very comfortable and fairly refined by any standards.

But it's still no RR!
