When/where to book a group ski holiday?

When I say a group I only mean 6 or 7 people, but has anyone got any recommendations for when to book and tour operators to speak to etc?

Normally two or three of us would go last minute, but I presume this could get difficult with more people. One idea that cropped up was to head over to the Ski Show or the Freeze Festival and see if we can negotiate a deal.

TBH, we do the same thing every year, see who's interested around September (usually 10-12 people), agree a budget for catered chalet plus flight (around 500 pp) and see what's available. (lift passes , hire and lessons can be cheaper about now plus a few deals if you can book this early)

This time we've booked Flaine for the last weekend in Jan.

Forgot to add, we've used Neilson a few times, including for next year, and have found them to be very good.
