Hello from a a Fury Italian owner.
Just a question:
- I am looking for some new headlights, are them the same as classic Mini? My car has a classic bonnet, not the Lemans one.
I'd like to order these:

Here's a pic of my fury:

Thanks for the useful info.
Especially Rob's site has been very important in the last year for me wink
I cracked both headlamps during aggressive trackday action too, I was looking for some polycarbonate ones.

@Lee, I was forced in driving with all that oversteer, my english axle is behaving in a quite strange way, loosing grip during turn-in,cornering AND accelerating. I don't know if I am driving at the physical grip limit of the axle OR if something is wrong with the setup... maybe the dampers are too short and the consequent reduced droop on the inside wheel is causing loss of grip and badly positive camber angles on the outside wheel...

Well, not easy to explain...in a different language, too. smile

What tyres are you running (type and pressures) what suspension setup (shocks & springs) ? and what engine is in it ?

I doubt antyhing is fundamentally wrong with it, or you would not have been able to control it or come out of the other side of the corner(I am assuming you did!). As Jeff said, what do you know about the current spec? The tyres seem to be doing pretty well, the body is rolling a fair bit so possibly you may need to uprate the springs a bit if you are using it on the track hard.

Toyo R888 medium compound, 205/60/13 rear, 185/60/13 front
At the rear I tried a lot of tyre pressures, ranging from 14psi to 18psi cold, leading to 16/20 hot. With the lowest pressures there's a little more grip but sidewall seems to flex too much.

I am running Spax dampers, but I can't remember the spring rates, sorry.
Engine is a R1 4xv, car is very light, around 450kg's.
The live axle has a rosejointed panhard rod, and all the links are in good condition with no free play etc.

Here's another pic, taken in one of the few corners where oversteer is not present:

Tyres seem to perform correctly, bodyroll is accettable (it's not a track-only car) but if I take the bend at just 1mph more, the rear looses grip, snapping immediatly to oversteer. (which is perfectly correctable, but slows me down a lot)

The rear tyres look worn on the outside and less worn on the inside, that's why I was thinking about a positive camber caused by the axle...

Take a look at this video, there's my car in front of my mate's Elise (honda+sc). It's the cleanest lap I achieved, but is really slow.

And here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjFGNzMVwhc but in this lap I was just having fun with the oversteer wink
