Windscreen Replacement?

Hello All,
I have a small wiper scratch, some minor chips and one drivers sight line crack (that's small enough to be fixed) in my windscreen. I'm wondering wether to get Autoglass or someone to fix the crack and polish out what they can, has anyone had good/bad experience?
The other issue is I have a bit of loose surround on the windscreen of my T350 which has revealed a pretty rusty sill underneath, I can only imagine that it's like this all around the underneath of the screen. I remember seeing this before, has anyone had the same issue that they have tidyed up and painted?
Or shall I just replace the windscreen and get the sills sorted?
