New Scirocco??

Anyone have any feedback / experience of the new Scirocco? I've been looking at the 2.0 TSI with DSG gearbox as a replacement to my Focus ST - but have never driven one.

Hi mate,

My brother has one and I used it for 2 weeks while he was on holiday. I thought it was great. I very quickly got bored of the paddles and just put it into drive. As with every VW its very well put together. My brother used to have a TT with 265bhp and he reckons the VW is just as quick. Overall I would say its a very nice place to be.

I drove a 2.0 TSI for a few days when they first came out, and I have to say, it was a cracking car - certainly felt better than the Golf GTI

It certainly felt quicker than the performance would suggest, and definitely feels more special than the Focus ST, although it lacks that lovely 5 cylinder burble that is so addictive in the ST

If you're looking for the practicality that ST offers though, then start looking elsewhere, because it's not that big inside
