Just about to set off for a weekend holiday last Friday, go to put some fuel in the car and notice the OSF tyre is low. Stick some air in it but after 5 mins its lost 5 PSI so look for a place to get it repaired.

The wife is panicing as she thinks the tyre is about to explode and kill us all but theres a tyre place just 2 mins up the road so we head there.

They found a nail in the tread, repair it and £15 lighter off we go again and all is good in the world.

5 mins down the road she pipes up " Do you think they replaced the air that leaked out? "

I look at her and say " they took the tyre off and fixed the puncture"

She looks at me blankly and says " yeah, but did they replace the missing air that leaked out? "

...

I looked at her and after I almost crashed the car laughing so hard she realised what she has said. I love my wife to death but the blonde moments are getting more and more common!

My partner had a puncture once. She did not realise that the spare wheel was a wheel - she thought it was just a tyre, which you had to swap like a bicycle tyre...

its alright when i was working as a tyre fitter a woman was explaining my every move to her son who was fascinated, and when i balanced the wheel she said "look now he's spinning it to get all the air even in the tyre".

Also, I had a woman ask if the tyres came with their pressure preset from the factory or do we check them after fitting? nearly laughed in her face, but realised she was being serious

You should have told her that you saw the manager send someone back up the road to collect the lost air in a jam jar and bring it back.
