winter tyres

[Cost Captain]

so after having to change my trousers far too often last winter I'm going to get winter tyres for this year. Looking for people opinions on what are good tyres to go for. don't want to spend a stupid amount of money but would like something half decent.

the size is 225/40 18 and i'm loathed to spend more than £130 a tyre excluding fitting.

On a similar tyre size, I have tried Nokian WR and Continental WinterContacts.

Both were excellent and I would wholeheartedly recommend either.

I'm about to order some WR G2s as they seem a good mixture of price and the things you look for in winter tyres

having had a quick browse the nokians are pretty cheap compared to continental, so will look into a set of those!
