do any bikes have front number plates?

if they don't, can they ever be done by truvelo cameras?

Some (very)old bikes will still have front number plates but not necessarily where they could be read.It has been known for bikes and riders to be tracked down by distinguishing marks on their bikes and leathers and prosecuted at a later date.

I think a front plate is seen as being a possible danger to pedestrians which is why they aren't fitted.

There was that bloke who regularly got flashed with one finger up to the camera. Eventually they tracked him down and weren't be sympathetic!
