I am looking for a SWB series 3 land rover to fill my garage for Charlie, needs to be in need of work, its part of his school engineering work and will be his first car

How about a blue 1968 MK 2 short wheelbase. No road tax and classic insurance. Joelism said:
Brummy Viper has an old Grand Cherokee that might do
soon to be a mint, wide wheel base classic

not to be confused with your 300K miles skinny version that feels like it has been to the moon and back, and will turn on its side when the wind puffs a little

good luck finding an old landrover without a crusty chassis

You're having a laugh, that smacks of too much hard work
, better flog it out now...dodgy axle, dodgy brakes, no lpg, still, its gotta be £300 at least
Just keep on dreaming about a gleaming silver lpg 4.7 with a V8 burble, newly fitted performance handling pack and soon to have the wide track look without the peeling chrome

And Body fitting mud flaps...........
