Kit car for 6' 4" driver?

Hi guys,
I have been looking into buying a weekend toy for some time now so thought it was about time I signed up to find out some more info.
Had to wait until new house was built before I have somewhere to keep it but house nearly finished so need to really narrow down the search with a view to getting something over winter in time to enjoy next summer.
Car will mostly be a weekend toy but I plan to do a couple of sprints/hillclimbs purely for fun.
I have tried a few different cars for size at local sprint events and subsequently written off a tiger avon as too small. I was 'ok' in a tiger supercat but was a bit tight for leg room. I imagine with different seat position this would be ok though.
I've read that Sylva mojo, striker and mk indy's are a little kinder to the taller driver?
Question is, which would be best suited to my needs?
Budget of around 5k really but a little less would be nice with a house to kit out as well.
Any help appreciated.

This topic crops up from time to time, but I wouldn't bother looking through the previous stuff because it won't actually help- lots of posts saying "I'm xxx tall and xxx weight, and I fit in my xxx just fine"
The ONLY way you are going to know for SURE is to go and try out any car that seems to meet your other requirements.
There are things that can be done to help- lower, thinner seats, different length and height of steering column, different pedals, smaller steering wheel.
Cars which you can cross off you viewing list include the Avon, narrow body Westfields, and some Tigers

Unfortunately your budget isn't going to manage to get you much. 
I was going to suggest the Deronda as there's acres of space in it. I'm 6'2" and there's enough room to move the pedal box a further 10" for longer legged folk than me! 
Not sure if you are looking to build or looking for a second hand machine.
Have a look at the MEV range, the Rocket, Sonic and Exocet perhaps? They are all well priced and the Exocet is getting good responses plus it's billed as the cheapest kit you can build. Personally I love the Sonic
Shame you haven't more money as the Deronda really would fit the bill but it's not cheap, unless you're looking at an Atom

Saw a few of the older topics and aware the best way is to actually sit in the individual cars which is what I've been trying to do at sprints etc.
Was looking for advice on cars that I have a chance of fitting in as there are obviously certain ones that are simply too small.
Realise my budget doesn't offer the best choice but with the family to support etc I can't really justify anything more expensive sitting in the garage 'at the moment'.
In a couple of years some investments I've made should start to make me some real money and perhaps then I can get something a bit more special.
In the meantime, will a cheaper option keep me happy or do you think I'd be better just waiting for the real deal?

That will depend entirely on what you are comparing it with. The difference between any kit, especially a 7, and any normal car is MUCH greater than the difference between a Robin Hood and a Caterham R500D7PNY said:

Just a thought Dave, but if you post up where you are from, you may get a couple of offers from local people to go and have a sit in their car see how they measure up, you may even get a run out in them, see what you really think. Worth a try... shy bairns and all that I've read that Sylva mojo, striker and mk indy's are a little kinder to the taller driver?
