Anyone else got one? Just ordered one yesterday for her indoors for her next five birthday and Christmas presents!!

Surprised how solid it was - nice to drive. Great combination of tech, economy and pace.

A few of us have 123d Hatch / Coupes and I think they're pretty much univerally loved by their owners, I certainly cant think of a better combination of performance, economy and fun for the type of driving I do.

Great car as a coupe, terrible car as a cabriolet. Just don't understand why you'd do this over a 125i.

You'll drop the roof on a beautiful sunny day, wafting around the town listening to...

DAGDAGDAGDAGDAGDGDAGDAGAG. Trust me, I've driven one 4 cylinder diesel Cabriolet and it sounded like I was on a narrowboat holiday.

A convertible 1 Series needs a silky smooth and quiet Straight Six. If you want MPGZ get the Coupe where you can close the windows and isolate yourself from the din.

I own a 123D Convertible and it's the business. Only downside is wind/roof interaction at higher speeds with the roof up. With the roof down it is the best looking convertible for its price point and the open air driving is invigorating. Cars are all personal tastes but I didn't buy mine to pose about listening to the engine. I bought it to drive.

Should have saved a bit of cash and bought the Coupe then, which is better, sharper drive.

Convertibles are all about enjoying the outdoors, not polluting it with 4 cylinder diesel din.

I test drove one of these (well, an auto 123d M Sport conv) and thought prior to driving it that the whole idea was all wrong ... a diesel convertible ....

Having driven it I was really impressed - yes at idle it is clearly a diesel but once moving it was superb. The acceleration was great for the car which handled really well.

I was put off by the price - a shade under 30K for an ex demo !!!

I was impressed enough with the diesel engine to look for a 123d auto hatch. Sadly I couldn't find one at the time - hundreds of manuals but few autos.

If I do decide to get another convertible I will certainly consider one - I liked the looks, the way it went and the general driving of it .... much to my amazement !
