New Pans Duff - Glad I bought From A Shop
Discussion
Lol just my luck - the 3D switching is not supported by Sky as yet, on a Sony you have a dedicated 3d button - not on a pan - its viera tools and select 3d side by side.
Flicker has nearly gone with adjustment
However the 3D IR signal taking out the sky box is a permanent fixture and I cant believe its not mentioned everywhere - anyone come across it - my sky box sits directly under the tv so worst place I know

Auto 3d selection has been added to the latest HDMI spec (1.4a)so i guess that will be implemented on the next gen sets, ive installed a few and have never had that problem, most of the ones I do go on the wall so the TV isnt really near the sky box, I guess the IR emitter on the set is very bright in comparison to skys, is it possible to put something inbetween the sky box and TV for test purposes so the sky box cant directly see the TV, like a book or something. You may be able to get away wit pushing the sky box back a little bit possibly?

Ive sussed the IR issue and had the shop and pan tech puzzled with it
The Sky remote wouldnt control the sky box when the tv is in 3D
The sky remote was set to a Sony TV but that shouldnt effect the sky box control should it - it does!
Changing the sky remote to pan code 678 shifted the infra red (?) and it works fine now - pan / shop never had that before
Shop was stumped on the autoselect as 99% of the time they set them up to Blu Ray and it auto switches, mine was the first one they had set up on sky and its auto select and auto deselect for now, also the sky banner doesnt work in 3d but sky say the switching and banner are work in progress and Im ahead of myself
Happy now - will watch the Man city / Chelski 1st half on sat in glorious 3d hd

Press the Green "Viera Tools" button
select 3D, and then select signal format, then select "Side by Side"
Easy!
