Compact Crossover

So Nissan are advertising the Juke as the first compact crossover but, I'm thinking that maybe (as horrid a little car as it was) the Rover Streetwise with it's beefed up ride height and plastic cladding, or the Polo Dune could easily claim to be crossover models themselves.

Thoughts? Discussions?

Have Nissan given the world a new market segment/ Or are they just blowing smoke out of their arse?

Ah yes, I forgot about that Golf Country that pre-dates any of my earlier suggestions (although not sure if that was ever officially sold through UK dealers)
