PH vs Productivity.
Discussion
After blaming surfing PH for my lack of work productivity over the last few months i have come to a shocking realisation over the last 10days. I'm not unproductive because i surf PH, i surf PH because work has had nothing for me to do. I'm just about to start a new role at work, have been a bit busy on a course and have since the school holidays ended the site has been a bit busier.
Suddenly i find myself spending 5-6 hours of the day that i would normally be on PH and avoiding getting busted by the Client actually doing work things. I'm not saying i am happier with this situation, i mean two weeks ago i was getting paid to surf PH looking for bargain sheds (successfully as it stands, mint E190 for the OH - £675
), laugh out loud at things and then have to cover it with a coughing fit and generally lurk about. Now i am getting paid for doing my job, which is o.k. i suppose, but not my first choice.
I am just chuffed that it turns out i hadn't lost all motivation for work i was just sitting in a massive comfort zone.
The reason i have posted this long winded unimportant drivel?
I was discussing this matter with my boss on Friday, he stated how glad he was to see me motivated at work again and asked if i had set myself new "personal goals" (he may even have used the phrase "going forward" as well, f
king managment BS)?
"Yep, i figure give me 5 months and i'll have got this place sorted enough that you'll have given me a pay rise to spend 5-6 hours a day surfing PH."
Everyone should have an acheivable goal, i think i've found mine. ;D
