Child car seat for a Cerb

Just wondering whether anyone has a 9m+ child seat that fits in a Cerb, e.g. Recaro Start and/or the impact cushion, that they don't need any more? Either that, or recommendations for currently available seats for a 9 month old that fit.

The main recommendation for a forwards facing seat seems to be the Recaro Start seat - but I think that your child may be too young for that. From memory - I think my kids used them from approx 18 months but they can be used younger than that - I googled and an advert mentions it is for 15-36 Kgs approx 3 - 12 years, however it does have an accesary of "infant comfort padding" for 9 - 18 months old child:

This could be your way forwards to get a very high quality child seat that you can adapt as the child gets older. I've not personally used the "infant comfort padding", but IMO the Recaro Start is probably one of the best constructed car seats I've seen. We have previously used the standard Britax type car seat, nothing wrong with it for younger children, but having seen the construction of the Recaro - metal frame, sprung seat back and seat base, adjustable padding etc; I'd now settle for nothing less.

Note - depending on how tall / short you are, it would be a struggle to fit the car seat behind the drivers seat - but an easy fit behind the passenger seat as it slides much further forwards and the passenger still has decent leg room (there is better leg room in the Cerb than for example the Chimaera - as the passenger footwell is compromised by the position of the battery in that car).

I have a blue and black Recaro Start complete with the bolster for young 'uns.

It has served us well and we used it from as soon as Joe could sit up unaided.
