i'm sure i read something long ago that this was actualy true ,and when they came to name the imported cars the phone call to Japan went something like the above and was miss quoted as starion.

Very borderline as Japanese people when speaking English can sound a bit like that, to be honst if I were speaking Japanese in a slight Cheshire/Manchester accent I could forgive my hosts the odd dig at my pronunciation and not accuse them of being racist, celebrate the difference, sometimes a slight piss take is the way to include people.
