Here is mine for today!
Glorious sunny day in Italy so decided to give the Cerbie some love and stop it tyres from going square in the garage. Haven't had it out for 6 weeks and it had started to look neglected.
Out for a run from Verona up toward the hills in Trento.
This is a favourite for bikers (I go up there myself on the Speed 4)
About 10 miles of fast bendy roads, with a few 500m straights, followed by hairpins, followed by uphills, downhills etc. You get the picture.
At the top there is a great bar where all the bikers meet.
Anyway, making my way up there at a fair lick when my mirrors are filled with Big BIKES and I mean proper full fat sports bikes. One overtook me on a straight so I decided (safely) to give it the beans and see how the Cerbera kept up.
All I can say is that One litre sports bike are bloody quick!!!
The bikes involved were Ducati 1198, Suzuki GSXR1300, Aprilia RSV (?), R1, Speed Triple and a couple of Kwaks ZX11s.
Round the bends they were bent right down, scrapping knees and I did a reasonable job of keeping up with them. Certainly gave me lesson on the limits of the car in Oversteer mode I can tell you. By the way, I really need to get some grippier cars on the Cerb - currently on Michelin Pilots but I am thinking of going for some 888s?
Anyway, most of this hooning was at 60-90mph and I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the cars ability to stay with these boys. What was hilarious was going up a long straight accelerating from 70 with the Aprilia overtaking me on his front wheel in the air!! That certainly showed me who was boss! No chance of staying with them on the straights but pretty good in the corners.
Got to the top and they waived me into the bar. We stopped, had a chat about the car and their bikes. Was really nice as they genuinely seemed quite impressed with the pull of the car. They confessed that they had been going for it big time and that I had livened up their afternoon. I was still feeling a bit of adrenaline to be honest as I got out the car!
You will be pleased to know that it was nothing too irresponsible - clear roads, quiet and no other traffic around. (up in the mountains)
Nice to have a bit of biker vs car respect! But boy can those big bikes tear up the tarmac!
So come on, any hoons to speak of this weekend??

No hooning story from me as Cerb is in for new clutch and brakes(going for bigger drilled discs) but I enjoyed reading yours. My last bike was a GSX1300R and I can certainly vouch for them being fast but even though I miss not having a bike now I honestly think I have more fun in the Cerb and I don`t care if it rains and I can get luggage in the boot for trips and you can just jump in it and go and everyone seems to love them!
