Had this since January this year after my Mini engine failed. Really enjoying it so far, looking forward to seeing how well it goes when the temperature starts dropping. I had an Evo 7 before and fancied similar performance but in a 'nicer' package.

Added some subtle mods since I got it, Burger motorsports JB3 piggyback chip, dual cone filters, BMW darkline rear lights and black performance grilles. Aswell as that I had the stock wheels refurbed in black. It came with some tasty extra's from new such as professional media package, visibility package etc. Should be about 380bhp with the JB3 on map 7, certainly feels like it!!

Btw, it was a factory John Cooper Works I had before this which I would really, really recommend. I did 22k miles from new in it, in little over 14 months and enjoyed every second of it.

My problem is I have NO IDEA what I'm going to replace this with when the time comes. Maybe a C63 AMG if the prices start coming down.

That looks awesome. Love the mods you've done - the Darkline rear lights and black grilles are so much nicer and the wheels look fantastic.biggrin

Cheers David!

I was unsure whether to keep the original wheels or go for CSL reps, glad I kept the originals in the end biggrin

Nice car - always liked the 335 though I personally prefer the 3 door.

Out of interest you stated you got the BM as your Mini engine failed. What caused it as your post also states it was only 14 months old with low mileage, wouldn't this have been covered under warranty?

Loving the car! I think the E90 saloon is very underrated in looks...

My 335i Saloon has the 'BMW performance' carbon spoiler on the bootlid.

whilst this sounds like the chav-mod from hell, it actually looks very nice. Discreet and sets the car off nicely.

Hydraulic tensioner failed and there was valve/piston contact. Mini would only replace the broken parts/rebuild the engine rather than fit a new one. The last thing I wanted was a £23k car with an engine rebuilt in a bmw workshop, that just wasn't on imo. As much as I tried to have the whole engine replaced they would't agree so they gave me a good trade in price instead and I paid the extra for the 335i.

I would have one again in a flash though (although the facelifted R56 isn't as nice looking as the one I had)

I've got a cooper S aswell as this which is great fun too but not as punchy as the JCW was.

Feeling a bit spooked by this - We appear to share a user name (you obviously love Entourage too) and have the same taste in cars (I run an E92 335i and have had an R56 Cooper S). Top man thumbup

I dont have any pics handy I'm afraid. I think it fits all the saloons of e90 flavour. Mine is an 08 plate...
