Does anyone know of any decent tack shops/saddlers in the area. The best one I could find was the lady at Hall Place however she's on holiday 'til tomorrow and I need someone today preferably. I have a new baby coming to me with a few saddles, none of which fit her and I need to get her fitted and preferably exchange the ones I've got.

I know there was a few horsey people on here so thought I'd ask as google isn't helping much!

I'm not really a horsey person but I've taken the Mrs to the one in West End and the one in Chobham by the entrance to the carpark.

There's this one out of the back of Wokingham.....on the way to Crowthorne.

No idea if it's any good - although let me know as my arseless leather chaps are due a replacement.

I've asked a horsey friend of mine in Camberley. She recommends Eileen Douglas in Eversley/Wokingham.

My daughter travels over from Newbury to go to Eileens.

Most importantly they carry lots of stock , knowledgeable help there too.

I know nothing about horses, in fact the last one I bet on is still running but I have been past this place once or twice. Don't know if it's any good or not but you can always go check it out I guess.

Not that local (Oxford) but they will come to you. These are the folk my OH uses for saddle fitting - they've been very good.

Saddle Doctor

If you're on about flogging the spares off, then yes I'd try any of those mentioned (Hall Place, Eileen Douglas, Mill Wheel).

Or there are online places such as: Saddles Direct (not used them)

Thanks, I had a fitter out today who when I called the main office said she did do exchanges and then when she came decided she didn't, or didn't want any of mine rolleyes

So I ended up paying £50 with call out charge and all I got was a girth. I think I'm going to go to Catlips and exchange the Thorowgood/Griffin and brown leather ones for one. They're medium fit and I need a wide fit.

Ps: Meet Holly, my new ride. TBH I think she's better than a Fezza or Lambo, and she's bloody quick too for a little thing (15HH Just).

Hi Holly! byebye

If I may make so bold - how old?

Bummer re the callout etc. Cas; never been to Catlips - is it as shambolic (or a goldmine depending on viewpoint!) as people suggest?
