I'm heading to Dorset this weekend for some fun on boats, though the Met Office are forecasting some stormy conditions at some point in the coming week.

So I have a look at the 10 day forecast on Metcheck and this is what they are saying eek



If that's the case I'm not even leaving home, let alone going near the water!!

It does not actually seem that far fetched when you read this! I was up there in the summer and found out about it...

Er, the point of the post was to illustrate that very high windspeeds well into three figures have been recorded in the UK, rather than the geographical fact that Bridport is not in the Cairngorms... tumbleweed
