Mine has developed a problem & I am seeking a little advice
Heater details
Worcester Danesmoor HPJU14ROO oil fed
Symtoms
The heating was working fine until sat pm. It has started to make a squeeling noise which I can only describe as a dry motoror one with no oil inside. It makes the unit trip out internally.
I think it may require a new motor but any advice would be great before I have to call in an expensive repair man weeping

Sounds a little like the central heating pump may have seized/given up.

If the Heating circulation pump has siezed - hence the squealing noise - it may well be the thermostat is still calling for heat which the boiler will supply but unable to disipate 'cos the pump's FUBARD, so yes that may be the problem. That'll cause the tripping as there's nowhere for the excess heat to go

it will more likely be the fan that's seized (or about to).

Oil burners have forced fan air induction, usually with a side drive off for the fuel oil pump.
