Very good thanks! Loving every second of it!

Basically we read up our subject the night before, do a lesson the next day followed by a quick knowledge check (test) of which I have scored very highly on all of them so far (so all looking good for my exams!), then we do roleplays and get to practise our powers of arrest and searching etc on people - The role plays are great fun - There are purpose built pubs / streets / houses etc etc in the training school built specifically for the purpose of the role plays!

Time is passing so quick! I only got home a couple of hours ago but Sunday when I travelled up there again (Ashford) only seems like yesterday!

Chassis - Not sure what colour your course is going to be, forgot to check it out mate but I'll try and find out next week... You'll be there very soon! Can't wait mate

purpose built pubs must be a bit surreal - that would freak me right out. I feel like I am right at home, but then I cant get the thing that I go there for. How very odd

That little list above is fairly fundamental to being a copper I would have thought. It just seems that a week may be a little too short to cover it in any depth IMHO . I hope it was the 'introduction to...........' .

Glad your enjoying the training and the new career, It's something I'm giving very very careful thought to after spending way to long in the automotive industry.

You're trying to provoke a reaction, I can just feel it!!!! Isn't that called entrapment.

Do you need any "members of the public" to make the pub look real, I can supply plenty of real beer if need be. Sure there might be a few PH'ers who could manage to look like real pissed people.......

Well done Mungo, keep it up.

Best bit is the PSU training at the end.

You get to vent your spleen at the PTI's and other instructors.
Some bloke split his Psu helmet with a nutter having a go with a baseball bat. That nutter was the PTI...

Glad it's going well, Mungo. Are you holding a policeman's ball afterwards to celebrate?

Hi Mungo! Catching up on a bit of posting? Sounds like you are enjoying the training, my daughter is applying too. Presently works as support staff, but loves the job (and the people) so wants to take it further.
