M3 E46

Hello everyone.
Im new to the forum although have been reading some posts for a while. My reason for registering is im seriously considering buying a E46 M3 My budget is about £10,000 and there does seem to be a few about for this. Does anyone have any advice on what I should look out for or any common problems to be aware of?
What sort of mileage do things start to go wrong as i reckon i could pick one up with about 75k and fsh.
