Window security
Discussion
Hi guys
My sister's house was broken into last night - scumbags took a lot of sentimental and valuable stuff unfortunately
There is a concern the thieves will come back to finish the job (they didn't take aywhere near as much stuff as they could have done - thoughts are that they were disturbed) and one thing the police commented on, was that their windows are single glazed and therefore a weak point in the house security.
However, they live in a conservation area (in London), and she is sure they aren't allowed double glazing although they would be allowed metal gates - not lovely on all your ground floor windows.
Does anybody know of any ways to secure single glazed windows, without resorting to bars and that prison feeling
