Should be an easy one...

Notice that my gaitors on the drive shafts have a clip on the big end, but nothing on the little end???
So when fully extended (suspension at bottom of travel) you can see the rubber small end distorting and slightly open - thus grease exposed.

Is that right? I would have expected them to be clipped (cable-tie or something?).

YES - NO?

Cheers

One of my outer CV joints has slightly loose metal clamp. Following repacking both this one is spitting grease all over the wheel but the other is perfect. Is it a problem or have I just put too much grease in?

My gaitors on both sides spit grease, especially when temps are higher.

Have tried gasket seal on the flanges but the grease seems to weep out the sides of the rubber - clips are tight and have also cable tied the narrower ends.

Gets very annoying when you have to clean grease off everytime you go for a run!!

Martin.

Do you have the bellows style CV boots or the aerodynamic ones?
