Brake cylinder locations for LH drive GTR

The manual says the brake master cylinder locations are that the .625 cylinder is on the left and the .75 on the right. Is this still correct for a LHD?

Doesn't matter as long as the larger cylinder is controlling the front circuit.

I knew the location didn't matter as much as the brake lines being able to reach their intended destination! :-)

Interesting. Ultima switched to different sized masters for front and rear. I'll have to make a note of that for future referrence. Thanks.

Yup. The front driven by a .625 Girling and the rear by a .75 Girling. Not sure what was used previously....

I just wonder if the brake lines are mirrored on the LHD car or if they are the same as the RHD...

I believe the lines are mirrored as you described. I don't see why they wouldn't be anyway. Incidently, I chose to run hard lines along the chassis and braided stainless out to the calipers. I believe all 3 of my masters are .75. I'm running a Spa bias gauge and still have some fine tuning to do with the brakes. I may try the .625 if I can't make everything happy, but I'm leaning more towards a little rear bias to take advantage of those fat rear tires.

No, seriously, I made that comment, b/c I know of a few people who were in 0-100-0 competitions and their braking distance decreased quite a bit with a little more bias. However, Ultima seems to have caught onto this and are now sending out smaller front masters. Those guys...they stay on top of things don't they? So long as we're not talking about fat chicks though

The larger master cylinder (0.75") is for the FRONT brakes.

In the right hand drive cars it is the right hand cylinder when sitting in the car.

I don't suppose it matters which side it is as long as it is plumbed correctly.
