Will they fit straight onto my UK corvette C5 ?
The guy states you need the correct wiring harness to make them work .... But i take as he sells to US customers the wiring kits are needed to convert the U.S switches into EU euro spec ones ?
I emailed him .. the reply i got was .. erm sorry bud i dont know about EU cars ! ..

You would definitely need the wiring harness to make the clear parts of the lenses work if you currently have solid red lenses.
The US spec taillights on Corvettes work in a strange (mysterious?) way. Usually (on a C4, C5 is similar I think) the brake and stop light is combined in one lamp.
If you fit the lenses shown you now have seperate indicators, each of which would require its own bulb (amber if those lenses are clear) and their own associated wiring.
This is an absolute piece of p*ss for any auto electrician worth his salt though and you needn't hunt around for a proper wiring harness as it can be made up if the guy knows what he's doing (big IF sometimes!)
There are plenty of places that would handle the work for you if you can't do it yourself, see Classic american mag for the nearest speciaslst.

If you fit the US lamps what will you do about amber indicators? Of the people who get into difficulty with BiB over non-compliant cars it seems that red indicators are the main problem area. I guess you could replace the Euro fog lamps with some kind of amber indicator but it would be a strange position.
No the car isnt an import , so the lens are not solid red asin the US .
They seem to be exactly the same as other Eu spec corvettes.
