I know its a bit of a random question, but something that I thought about this morning.
I've started using the train to commute to work in Glasgow and what I wanted to know is, at night when the trains are not in service, where do they park?

Sorry for the random question, but thanks for any replies.

In recent times it's known as a railway depot, previously would have been a combination of the carriage sidings and an engine shed. I believe the one that serves Glasgow is called Corkerhill Depot.

Depends on the type of train - electric at Shields Road or Yoker. Diesel at Corkerhill or Haymarket. There are also a number of locations where stock is serviced and stored at night/weekends - Stirling & Perth are two I know of.
