Can anybody recommend me an auction house that i can put my 997 Porsche Carrera 4S through? this is the first time i am auctioning a car so i am a complete novice.

Probably BCA "Top Car" auction. They have them every now and again at various sites. Not sure if they'll take private entries but they probably will.

Take into account that you'll only get trade or thereabouts and the comission might be significant.
