Anyone watching it?

Last nights episode was interesting. Professional chefs that can't truss a chicken?

I enjoy this program much more than celeb masterchef, roux jr is The Man.

Pros my arse, which one of these useless tts is the least useless would be a better name, not as catchy perhaps...

Saying that it is watchable, if only for no ads.....

Yes, was interesting watching all four fail to tie up a chicken! But it is also interesting to see how good they get later on.

I think the time pressure is what does most of them in for the first challenge.

10 minutes to be given and ingredient and told knock something up is not very long at all for the first challenge.

Didn't like Rouxs sous chef very much, she seemed like a complete bh. He himself on the other hand came across as a decent enough sort of chap.

Apart from him, I cried. My wife, with no formal training, who hates to cook, said they were "all st". Appalling TV.

I like the way Roux critiques the food and then Wallace eats it

Interesting the point made about the sous chef, she does seem to have a bit of an attitude.

Roux, on the other hand, is a pleasure to see working the kitchen. He's bloody meticulous and always seems so calm. I guess you don't get 2 michelin stars by lacking self confidence and a small amount of skill...

Yes. And it was actually refreshing to see Roux doing some cooking - a reminder that you have to be pretty damned good at it yourself, before you can critique everyone else.

He makes the programme. (Wallace does his best to destroy it.)

Think frenchy might be in with a chance of going onto winning, I know its only the early stages and im sure there will be other great chefs.......but he was on another level!

On another level compared to the other "pros" perhaps, but is what he did any better than we've seen in the Celebrity MS or normal MS competitions? I don't think so.

Granted the added pressure of being on TV doesn't suit some people, but the majority of them last night were st.
