Plenum Spacer

Hi there people does anyone know if the Plenum Spacer from sc power is worth getting?

I got the one with the spacer, heatshield & trumpet ends.
I also shortened my trumpets by 10mm.
It dropped my shunting from 3k rpm to 2k rpm.
And gave a throatier sound to the engine.
Not sure if it helped release any more horses as I haven't had it dyno'd before & after.

Thanks for that i might try it when i remove the pre cats this winter its cheap enough anyway...
gives me an excuse to polish the plenum..

Shunting at 3K???... even at 2K it's high!!

I fitted a home made plenum spacer to my old Chim and it almost eliminated the shunting altogether.

I have to say that the shunting was nearer 1k. I think if its shunting at 3k, you've got other problems.

Yeah mines around 1200rpm but since fitting a afm smooth bore pipe its better still,will defo get that spacer kit though.

I agree, probably several things making it so bad, I'm saving up to take it for a nice rolling road diagnostic.

I have hung off responding until now.. so here's my contribution:

Did abt 200kms today on my first run in my Griff after fitting both an insulator and the spacer, and I'm more that happy with it. Improvement is noticable however I think its more to do with cam/intake/fuel mods in conjunction with more air.

My Air temp sensor is before the plenum so I can't measure any benefit, however the plenum is cooler to touch.
