So the Final round is upon us. The title is between Plato, Neal, Shedden and Onslow-Cole, with JP the favourite. Sam Tordoff will step up from the Clio Cup to drive the second 888 Vectra while Ben Collins will run a third Airwaves BMW, to the utter delight of Alan Gow's PR agency no doubt!

So, who's your money on and who's going to be there? I missed the last round last year but will certainly be there this year!

Getting (one of) The Stig(s) to drive will please their sponsors. I hope he wears that helmet too, just to take the piss.

I'd like to see Shedden do it, but more than likely either Plato or Neal will barge their way through to the front.

Will be interesting to see if Collins does any interviews, and whether ITV are brave enough to question him on his recent book.

Hopefully stands with his arms folded, head down and says nothing!

Although I dislike the amount of contact in the modern BTCC I'd love, nae LOVE, someone to torpedo Plato out of contention and someone else do the same to Neal.

Reep what you sow scenario hehe

This is Brands Indy we're talking about.
I confidently predict that there will be virtually NO passing WITHOUT contact.rolleyes
(Unless the car in front messes up, of course).
It's just the nature of the circuit.
I'll be marshalling there and reckon it'll be a busy day.
In particular look out for Plato on the brakes into Druids and Neals' signature lunge at Surtees / Clearways. (TBH they're all as bad, in their own ways, so please don't think I'm singling anyone out for criticism).angel

I wonder if Team Airwaves put "Stig" on the side window ....it would be great if he took a deadly lunge at Matt Neal ...

I think that the name 'the Stig' is the intellectual property of BBC / Top Gear production co.

In fact if you use the names Ben Collins and the Stig in the same sentance, Jezza will send the heavies round.

Oops, I've just typed Ben Collins and the Sti...................DOH!!;)

Team Aon will finally turn up the engine to what it's always been capable of. Expect them to run away with it. Then hopefully be thrown out for cheating.

But I think Plato has got it this one in the bag.

Have you been talking to someone at RML?! Everyone is expecting the Fords to Blitz it in qualifying so my money is on TOC to win the first 2 races but JP will do just enough to take the title in the end.

Team AON Chilton may well qualify best but as is always the way Plato/Neal will barge their way through given half a chance, if not, I cant see TOC having a trouble free race... maybe another 'problem' that will allow Chilton through. Hm.....

Rumour has it that 'team Daddy' have been sandbagging all year and still have more power available if needed, just by remapping the motor so if needs be they could be even faster than they have been before on the straights. They have tried to keep things slightly sensible to avoid massive penalties but even at knickers they were still clearly faster than everyone else out of the corners, in spite of being much slower into them.

Chilton cant win the championship anyway can he ...... TOC would be a lot closer to Plato if he did not have to throw points away at Silverstone.

I think TOC has been the revelation of the season for me just a pity he does not get as much support as his teammate does ...having said that looking at TOC's twitter page the amount of Fanny he seems to be surrounded by is unreal, so need need to feel sorry for him just yet ...

Should put him in a turbo car and have "Stig of the dump valve".
