Button through dash
Discussion
Not doing too well at the moment. Need to replace split steering rack gaitors and sort out a seized fly nut to adjust headlight alignment.
Another job for the weekend is to sort out the hazard light button which was pushed right through the dash during it's MoT on Thursday (wont mention names, but it was a TVR dealer). In the process, the veneer (sp?) has also come off.
Anyway, i can pull the button back to where it should be, but can't see how it should be fixed in place. There's a clip holding the button to the fibre glass on the right hand side, but nothing on the left.
Any ideas? Has a clip fallen into the dash? Or is it glued to the veneer panel?

The early arrangement has 4 small metal brackets araldited to the steel backing of the dash panel. The mounting panels (each side) for the switches and 'warning lights' slot into these mounts (mine were secured with cotton thread and a bit of glue to fine position in the slots). The two middle brackets are the ones which screw into the fibreglass to secure the whole dash panel (remove the radio and you see them)
To fix, remove radio, 4 screws holding dash panel, ease dash panel out, and you should be able to apply araldite to re-attach bracket - make sure switch is central!
