I keep seeing adverts for Ametech Engine Restorer and it seems to be really good stuff - according to the advert and Quentin Wilson.

I was just wondering if anyone had used it and whether it was any good? I'm a confirmed cynic when it comes to wonder cures for smokey engines but was curious in this case.

Thanks.

I've also seen the ads for the flying pig cream lotion, apparently it works just as well

That thread should never have been deleted, if the mods had looked a bit more at the muppet selling the stuff they'd have seen all he did was jump up and down and shout impotently about suing everyone while realising he couldn't sue as everyone was telling the truth lol.

It is really very simple, akin to dumping dollops of lead in the tank or fuel line to replicate the effects of measured amounts of tetra-ethyl lead in high octane petrol.

Nothing ever stops a worn out engine being worn out.

Except fitting (carefully) new unworn bits to a repaired engine, carefully restored.

Maybe QW needed the dosh.

I wonder if they give me some?

I could change my mind for a sizeable fee

Thanks for your replies everyone. Quentin Wilson's ringing endorsement had me wondering...
