Xbox 360 - what wheel?

Hi,

Looking to bite the bullet and go for a full set up for F1 2010 on the xbox 360.

I have had a look at the wheelstand pro and that looks the part, but there is the option of what wheel to go for?

The wheel must be wireless as the xbox is in another room to the TV,

Choices are,

- Logitech Driving Force Pro / GT - pretty basic with no paddle shifter

- Microsoft Wireless Driving Wheel for XBOX 360 - is this secondhand only? About £100 on Ebay

- Logitech G25 - Cannot find, has it been superseded by the 27?

- Logitech G27 - nearly £400 and has a clutch?

I'd like the M/Soft one, however I would have to get secondhand and if it broke I might end up with the wheelstand and nothing to fit it?

What's favoured among the PH crew? I think we can discount the G27 I could not afford that.

I take it logitech do not do xbox wheels? Looks like its the Msoft one then unless anyone knows otherwise?

None of the Logitech wheels will work with an Xbox 360 so don't even bother trying to find one. You've basically got two options; the Microsoft wheel (which is not bad) or the Fanatec (which is very very good, works on PCs and PS3s too, but if the G27 is too spendy this will be too): http://arstechnica.com/gaming/reviews/2010/01/all-...

Don't pay EBay prices for the Microsoft wheel.

Check the Argos website and see if your local stores have stock left. I just got one for £65

Most likely they have all been bought for 65 quid and are now all on ebay selling for 100+!!

No stock in any of my local stores within a 15 mile radius
I made the mistake of playing F1 2010 on my brothers xbox with the wheel and now i can't face going back to my (inferior) controller!

I was thinking along those lines but the local Argos only had 1 left, which i bought.

A couple of shops in nearby towns have 1 or 2 in though. Try the search facility on the Argos site, you might get lucky.

For £250 i'd expect Lewis Hamilton to come and play the game for me whilst Nicole keeps me happy in another room!

The GT3 version will only work on a PC. The only wheel Fanatec make that works with the 360 is the Turbo S, and it's a mighty fine wheel (spend the extra money and get the clubsport pedals). link to a review

I just picked up the M/S one on Monday. Didn't have any in local stores, ordered for collection 3 days later. £65. Job done.
