As above really, may be buying a car with a private plate included (I assume I don't need to do anything out of the usual i.e get the V5 sent off).

Are there any sites to provide a sharpish 'for info' valuation?

yes, put something similar into the DVLA site and see what they'd charge.

I tried that. The results were not what I was expecting! I'm really looking to double check.

Why not ask fellow PH'ers to give you an opinion?

From what I have seen on the main number plates thread there are enough knowledgeable people using the
forum to give you a fairly accurate valuation.

You never know, someone on here may want to buy it from you.
