Fitting Tuscan seats

When in a pre 2000 Cerb, I am sat a little too high & basically have a view of a roll bar. Is it easy to fit Tuscan seats to an early Cerb so that the padding can be removed meaning I am sat a bit lower? Do they use the same runners etc?

The seat runners in an "early" Cerb are attached to the seat and bolt through the floor.

The runners are also a few inches in from the edges of the seat.

Whatever seats you replace the originals with will have to be able to be made to work like that.

Might be worth you dropping PlumAJP a mail as he fitted Tuscan seats to my car before i bought it off him.

I just took the opposite approach and took the offending rollbar trim section off, its much deeper than it needs to be, on my 97 cerb at least. I gained about 2" extra vision at the top of the screen and that made all the difference. Its held on by 3 self tappers, 1 centre and 1 each end. I intend to cut away the excess fibreglass, perhaps just in front of driver/passinger and leave the centre for the interior light, recover and refit. Be cheaper than tuscan seats, not so pretty though!
