E30 316i sparadic on start up

It does it every time without fail. You turn it on, starts fine, but it seems like its struggling for air. If you rev it a little, it fine, but try and pull away and it chokes.

I've cleaned and replaced the ICV, checked the air pipes, the air inlet butterfly works fine.

Someone's mentioned it might be the dizzy, not checked it yet.

Check the resistance of your cold start sensor to ensure it is within spec, should be showing 3k ohms when cold and 200ohms went hot.

If the sensor is toast it could be telling the ecu to overfuel,possibly causing your issue.

IIRC it is in the side of the head on the M40.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that I've already had a new one of these. I'll check the resistance again though.

Rubber hose between the air flow meter and the throttle.

Look for a split in it.
