I do seem to have recently developed a fascination with the living dead and have so far seen the following:-

REC
Pontypool
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Dead Snow
Dawn of the Dead (original)
Night of the Living Dead
Evil Dead 1 & 2
Shaun of the Dead

I can't really say I haven't enjoyed any of them really. Any more good ones to watch out for?

I thinks he's actually saying he liked them all, in a bit of a roundabout way, but I read it the other way the first time as well.

Just took a look here

Night of he Comet is good.
Ones I wouldn't mind watching are the Day remake, Survival of the Dead, Outpost and Undead.

Ghost Breakers is an ace film (one of my faves), but not a modern zombie filmbiggrin

Yep, sorry double negative. I've seen Zombieland too. It was OK but not that good tbh.

The 2004 remake of dawn of the Dead is very entertaining. I have watch Diary of the Dead, and the 'sequel' Survival of the Dead, and they're OKish - the latter being the weaker. (too unbelivable, even for this genre - zombies riding on horses!)
If you watch REC 2 (very good), you will realise that they are not zombies.
Zombie Flesh Eaters is by far the best of the early 80's Italian (Fulci, usually) efforts that spawned after the orginal Dawn of the Dead (which now looks great in Blu Ray) - also The Beyond has a few zombies, and I have a real soft spot for Night of the Comet (now available on DVD)

I find the RE movies great fun - and if you didn-t catch Dead Set, that's also worth a look.

ETA - although hailed as a classic now, when I first watched Romero's Day of the dead back in 1986 at the cimema, I was very disappointed - plenty of gore, but it was obvious that Romero's budget was very tight.

Zombie Strippers? Starring the one-time adult actress Jenna Jameson, and also iirc Robert Englund.

Not exactly a great film, but quite entertaining, seeing the undead wearing next to nothing, taking some (unlucky) fella backstage for what he thinks is going to be the ride of his life.

Don't. This movie annoyed the hell out of me. Once it gets going I don't think there is a single scene where there isn't a woman screaming hysterically in the background, drove me absolutely nuts.

Just stick with the original REC.
