If they worked, rentokil would have gone out of business years ago...

There's some complete down the road from us who has some sort of untrasonic animal deterrent. Given that it's in their front garden, I'd assume it's more for cats & foxes or something, but the sodding thing drives me mad! furious

Every time I walk to or from the station, there I am, minding my own business when this evil contraption suddenly screeches violently at me in some sort of attempt to gnaw its way into my skull!

I used to live directly opposite a farmers wheat field; when I first moved in to the house, the garage had quite a few field mice living in there, so I put an electronic deterrent in there and never saw another mouse, or any evidence of them, in the 2 years I lived there. Thoroughly recommended.

It seems that these devices bear the Rentokil name, so perhaps they're not so bad after all.

Thanks gents smile

Can dogs hear them? It'd be handy to leave one in the loft but I wouldn't want to drive the pooches round the bend.

Not according to the details on the web, only rodents (& rabbits).

They also say that humans aren't supposed to be able to hear the cat deterrent ones. Lying scum is what they are!

Get yourself a 4 month old cat called Ernie.

This was dispatched yesterday....shoe is for sense of scale (a toddlers trainer, not the Rats').

And he's still only learning!

I thought a 4yo child had hit it with her shoe, then I reread it..

We had industrial ones in out corn stores. I thing the mice and rats get used to it. Never seemed to make any difference.
Get a 9mm garden gun and have some fun. This is PH after all.
